University of Windsor Jazz Ensemble





The University of Windsor Jazz Ensemble is comprised of university, general community and high school instrumentalists and vocalists who perform a variety of styles such as swing, rock, blues and pop. This Ensemble has performed in many diverse venues including the Birmingham and Monroe Jazz Festivals, various community fundraisers, university events, school concerts and in our SoundsationSeries.

Musicians interested in auditioning for the Jazz Ensemble should contact Mr. Bob Fazecash, Director, at (519) 253-3000 Ex. 2780 or by email at faz@mnsi.net. We rehearse once weekly on Wednesday evenings.

High School musicians have an opportunity to learn from University Jazz faculty -- Shahida Nurullah, Tad Weed, Vaughn Klugh and Bob Fazecash. This workshop is open to high school musicians in grades 10 thru 12. Cost: $10 student ticket for workshop, meal and concert.

The University Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Bob Fazecash is comprised of university, general community and high school instrumentalists and vocalists who perform several styles including swing, rock, blues and pop. They play three jumpin’ musical sets – the Big Band Concert; The Dance and The Party – all in one magical night.
