Application Process
for exchanges starting FALL 2010

Instructions for Application:
1. Click on the link below to access the on-line application form.
To access the application you will need to use your UWinID and student number as the password:
- Your UWinID is the first part of your Windsor email address (before the @uwindsor.ca part). If you are not sure what your Windsor email address is go to:www.uwindsor.ca/uwinid
- If your student number does not work as the password try using your Webmail password. If you have worked on campus using Lotus Notes, you will need to use that password.
** After completing the application don't forget to come back and follow the rest of these instructions
Suggestion for completing the application:
1) copy the questions from the application into Word
2) compose your responses in Word (remember to do a spell check when you are done)
3) go back into the application, copy and paste your answers from Word
** sometimes writing your answers directly in the form it takes too long, something happen on the server, and the application does not get receive properly |
It is recommended that you use your browser's print button to make a copy of the application before pressing submit.
2. Three reference forms must also be provided, using the file below.
- At least one of these references must be from a faculty member.
- Please have each of your referees complete the reference on the form provided.
- References can be sent at any point in time - you are not required to make your application first
- References from employers or volunteer supervisors are also useful.
- References from family members, personal friends or fellow students are not normally considered.
- Have your reference forms sent directly to the Windsor International office by mail, fax, or email/scan

3. Language Assessment
If you are applying for an exchange where the language of instruction is not English you must make arrangements to undergo a language assessment with the Languages Department in Lambton Tower 6th floor (French, German, Italian, Spanish).
The results of the assessment will be sent directly to Windsor International. Go HERE for further instructions.
4. Ensure that your application and reference letters are received by the following deadline to ensure consideration for all programs.
Late applications will be considered on a “positions still available” basis.
Applications for Fall semester are due before January 15th, and applications for Winter semester are due before September 15th
- Application for 1 semester (Winter 2010) - are no longer available
- Applications for 1 or 2 semester exchanges starting in Fall 2010 - are NOW available
5. After the above dates all eligible students with complete applications will be contacted for an interview.
